Did you know there’s a tool available to you that provides useful information that can help you make informed decisions about your health care services? It’s called Healthcare Advisor, and it’s available only to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network members.

Healthcare Advisor has a suite of helpful tools available through bcbsm.com or MiBCN.com that provide health care cost and quality information. BCBSM, BCN and Michigan’s hospitals and doctors have worked together to give you the information you need to receive the best care at the best price.

Healthcare Advisor includes:

Coverage Advisor^TM, which helps you determine which health plan will best meet your needs.

Hospital Advisor^TM, which lets you compare hospitals for more than 160 common diagnoses and procedures, using the factors most important to you.

Treatment Cost Advisor^TM, which allows you to research the cost of common health care services.

Provider Selection Advisor^TM, which helps you select a provider based on the criteria most important to you.

Medication Advisor^TM, which allows you to get information on more than 11,000 prescription medications.

To use Healthcare Advisor, which is powered by WebMD^®, you must log in to Member Secured Services from the bcbsm.com or MiBCN.com home page.

How can I sign up to receive my EOB statements online?
Reviewing your explanation of benefits statements is important because it helps make you more aware of prices and payments for your care. It also helps you identify any errors.

You can view them at any time.
You don't need to file and retrieve paper at home.
You don't need to call to request duplicate copies.
You can download and print them from your own computer.
You can retrieve your information for two years from the date of posting.

Online EOBs can be viewed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan subscribers and by Blue Care Network subscribers who have BCBSM dental or vision coverage. It's easy to sign up for online EOBs. Just go to bcbsm.com then:

Log in or register for Member Secured Services.
Click on Explanation of Benefits.
