Tiny Wireless Cardiac Monitor Helps Lourdes Physicians Diagnose Abnormal Heartbeats
Abnormal heart rhythms can be difficult for doctors to catch, especially if they don't happen too often. To help solve these medical mysteries, cardiologists at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center are implanting a new type of cardiac monitor. One-third the size of a triple-A battery, the monitor is part of an advanced system that allows Lourdes doctors to continuously and wirelessly monitor a patient's heart for up to three years.

Lourdes Launches Partnership with Walgreens
Medication non-compliance is a major reason for readmission to the hospital, especially for patients with chronic conditions such as heart failure and diabetes. With that in mind, Lourdes Health System has launched an innovative partnership with Walgreens, the nation's largest drugstore chain, to improve the care of its patients after they are discharged from the hospital.

Help prevent a summer blood shortage! Lourdes Health System will hold its summer blood drive on Wednesday, July 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County.
